A must see and I highly recommend paying the extra £2 for the audio tour.One of the top things to do in Brighton for sure.

Ever wondered what natural history had before TV and David Attenbough? Taxidermy is the answer. The Booth Museum has a great array of birds, bones and butterflies and it even has a mermaid well be it a taxidermy folly of half monkey and half salmon.

A stunning grade II listed Theatre built in 1807 right in the heart of the city, and hosts everything from, Opera, plays, ballets and musicals. I last saw the rocky horror show here, damn it Janet, what a great night that was.

You will never believe what this amazing building was originally designed to be. Brighton Dome hosts it all from, Theatre, Comedy, Dance and Music, both contemporary and classical. I last visited here early 2015 to see Buena Vista Social Club, those guys can jam.

Bringing back some good old seaside tradition, Punch and Judy shows are often found on the beach in front of the Fishing Museum mainly during the summer. They are free to watch and performances run on donations, so enjoy and give generously.

Brighton pier spans out 524 meters out to sea, which makes for a nice stroll. It has a funfair, two bars, fish restaurant as well as many other food and knickknack stalls. If your walking with your fish & chips, keep an eye out for swooping seagulls, you can’t miss them, there massive.

Get lucky in Brighton! The kiss wall is an iconic seafront sculpture situated to the right of Brighton pier. Make from pierced aluminium and illustrating the diversity of Brighton’s population. It’s said to bring good luck to anyone who kisses at this wall, so get snogging beautiful people.

Do as the Victorian did and stroll along the seafront promenade. With the beach on one side, you will find a parade of craft shops, restaurants, bars, fishing museum here and a carousel. On a good day it makes for a very pleasant walk.

This is why everyone comes to Brighton in the summer after all, to just chill on the beach, grab some rays and have a good old dip in the refreshing sea. If you want bars on hand, bathe between the piers. If you want it more quiet, go between Brighton Pier and the Marina.

Preston Park is Brighton’s largest park at 59 archers and apart from two huge lawns it has tennis courts, children’s playground, two tea rooms, and a velodrome, stunning rose garden, Europe’s oldest elm trees and a wild meadow. It’s very well worth a visit.

Situated at the north side of Hove, Hove Park has a children’s playground, 3 football pitches, 12 tennis courts and a floodlit basketball court. Also has a tea room and a miniature steam railway, but I’m not sure if this is still running, need to check.

Has been completely renovated a couple of years back and now houses the cities best children playground, a skate park and velo café. This is also where Brighton’s naked bike ride starts from, so you have been warned for those visiting in June. lol

Queens Park is a beautiful and hidden away park found at the North side of Kemp Town. Amongst the children’s playground, 6 tennis courts and lovely café and a Grade II listed Clock tower. There is also a beautiful wildlife garden with a large pond that makes for a stunning walk.

I cannot recommend the Roasts here enough. The Roast chicken is basically half a chicken and there not short on the gravy. The Veggie Nut roast here is amazing as well. The Black Horse can be found on church road opposite Brighton Dome.

Well-presented and delicious pub roasts in a spacious pub with a massive beer garden. Found on the top right of Preston Park, it’s a bit of a walk, but well worth it. It’s great for those cycling their way around Brighton, or those driving (free street parking)

John Constable described the South Downs as “The grandest view in the world” and it makes for a lovely getaway from the hustle and bustle of Brighton city. It’s just a short 77 bus ride to Devils Dyke, then you can walk in most directions and a great ramble is guaranteed.

Just a few stops on the train from Brighton station, Lewes is a stunningly beautiful and quaint little town filled to the brim with cobbled streets, tea shops, antique shops and flea markets. It also hosts a bonfire night celebration like no other place in the UK.
